Bounce Back: The Trailer for "Creed 2" Should be Played at Gyms on an Eternal Loop

It’s finally here.

Creed—the long in the making sequel to/reboot of the Rocky franchise—was way better than it had the right to be, climbing nearly to the top of our Best Films of 2015 list. (It just wouldn’t have felt right if the underdog won in his first bout.)

Now comes the trailer for Creed 2, and we look forward to seeing it played on a near-constant loop at gyms around the globe, because it is motivational fuel of the purest, most potent kind.

Internet thirst trap acclaimed thespian Michael B. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed (fresh from Wakanda) to resume his training under Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa. This time around, however, he’s determined to meet another famous boxing son in the ring: the intimidating offspring of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), the very man who killed his father back in Rocky IV.

As Rocky reminds Adonis, he has "everything to lose", with Tessa Thompson also returning as Bianca, Creed’s partner. And it sure looks like they have a baby Creed of their own now. If this means we can expect a third franchise focusing on this boxing baby several decades down the track, we would like to pre-order our tickets now, please.

Check out the trailer below, which is ably assisted by Black Panther soundtracker Kendrick Lamar, adding a new layer of meaning to "DNA".

Creed II arrives in Australian cinemas 29 November.
