They Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere: “Bad Boys 3” Is Happening; Will Be Called “Bad Boys For Life”

They can’t be stopped now.

It’s been thirteen years since Bad Boys 2 changed the cinema landscape with its winning combination of audacious set-pieces and problematic usage of corpses as weapons.

But Sony believes the world need not wait any longer (well, much longer) for a third Bad Boys movie, officially giving it the title Bad Boys For Life.

According to EW, Bad Boys For Life will hit cinemas January 12, 2018. (That means four American Presidential election cycles will have passed before Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett grace the screen again.)

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will, of course, be back, but director Michael Bay has been subbed out for Joe Carnahan (The Grey).

Initially, the third Bad Boys movie was tentatively dated for 2017 and Bad Boys 4 (yes, a fourth one is probably happening too) was dated for 2019. EW says the date change for BBFL will not delay BB4.

Can we recommend a title change for that fourth instalment too though? Bad Boys 2 Men? Beach Bad Boys? East End Bad Boys And West End Bad Girls? The Vengabadboys?
