Marvel Just Dropped the Cast for “Avengers: Doomsday”

Is this the biggest cross-over in the MCU since Avengers: End Game?

Since the unveiling of Robert Downey Jr. as the new Doctor Doom, Marvel fans have been waiting patiently for any news on the next big instalment in the MCU.

Thankfully their many questions have been (somewhat) answered and a new video from the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube account has revealed the Avengers: Doomsday cast and that the film is currently in production.

What do we know so far about the plot?

Avengers: Doomsday is the thirty-eighth film in the MCU, and the second instalment of Phase Six. The film is set to be released on May 1, 2026. The cast features characters from every corner of the MCU, including X-Men, Fantastic Four and the Avengers. Arguably there hasn’t been a movie this big in the MCU since Avengers: Endgame.

Based on the original synopsis, the story is set to follow Doctor Doom and his rise to power. Doctor Doom is a powerful enemy and it’s likely he’ll be going up against the Avengers with the help of the Fantastic Four’s antagonist – the Silver Surfer.
