Australia's Getting "Hereditary", the Horror Flick With '100' on Rotten Tomatoes, Before America

It’s getting closer and closer and we can barely stand it.
Following in the footsteps of The Babadook, It Follows, The Witch and Get Out, director Ari Aster’s allegorical horror flick Hereditary is coming to our shores, riding a wave of critical love.
Of course, whenever a small indie movie gets rave reviews in the United States, Australians just naturally assume it’ll take approximately 18 months to get here (and we’re lucky if it lands in cinemas for a few weeks before getting dumped on Netflix).
But hopes are apparently high for Hereditary, which has been given a local release date of 7 June 2018, one day before it drops in America.
When the flick debuted at Sundance back in January, audiences raved (in-between shrieks of terror). Already there’s Oscar buzz around star Toni Collette, who last scored a nod for another scary movie (The Sixth Sense) back in 2000.
Wondering why there’s such a fuss? Let the trailer explain, if you can even:
If you couldn’t grasp the plot—and we don’t blame you, especially if you spent most of it hiding beneath a blanket—the film follows a family as they deal with the death of their matriarch, and discover a "sinister fate they seem to have inherited" from their ancestors, according to its official synopsis.
So, if you're still in, just remember: 7 June 2018.
