Aussies Will Have to Live With Coronavirus Restrictions For At Least Another Four Weeks

Time to plan more #iso activities.
If you thought life would be back to normal soon, we’re sorry to inform you that it looks like COVID-19 restrictions will be in place for at least another month.
On Thursday afternoon, Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed the government has no plans to ease coronavirus restrictions over the next four weeks.

Mr Morrison said the restrictions will need to remain in place until three central requirements are met. This includes increasing testing for the virus, implementing better contact tracing measures and responding quicker to outbreaks.
Until that happens, no restrictions will be lifted.
"We want to be very clear with Australians, the baseline restrictions we have in place at the moment, there are no plans to change those for the next four weeks," Mr Morrison said.
Mr Morrison did clarify, however, that the states who have implemented more extensive measures could look at relaxing them more quickly.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that Australia is entering the "suppression" phase of its virus response.
"We are not at the Sweden end or the New Zealand end, and when it comes to how we approach things, our data and information shows that in that phase we are doing relatively very well, especially over countries that are using even more extreme forms of lockdown," he said.
Mr Morrison added that a number of government policies will need to be reconsidered to ensure Australia can recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
"To make sure we can achieve growth that will be necessary for our economy to get people back into work, the economy back on track, it will be a different world on the other side of the virus. There will be many challenges."
Well, prepare to create a bunch of new TikTok videos over the coming weeks.
