How Do I Make Friends After High School?

Nothing wrong with a few more friends 💁
On this episode of Ask Student Edge, we're answering a question from a member about what it's like making friends after school.
Everyone's thinking it, but we never talk about it. How do we make friends with more people after high school?
If you're in high school now, it might be hard to imagine a life where you're not seeing the same mates day in, day out.
But after high school, it's ok to feel like you want to expand your friendship group. And to some of us (present company included) that can feel a little scary.
Bianca and Emma talk about how they made friends post-school, how they overcame their fears when making friends, and what tips they would provide.
How do I go about making friends after school?
Bianca: Because I was the only one in my group that went on to do this particular degree at this particular uni, I had to kind of force myself to make friends because I was really shy.
Bianca: I think when I'm on camera, or even when I'm talking to you because now we know each other quite well, I think it's very hard to believe that I'd be quite shy. But when I meet someone for the first time, I'm terrified.
Emma: I am quite an extrovert I would say, but also I think when I meet new people I'm kind of just like, 'well what's the worst that could happen' they could just tell me that they don't want to talk to me.
Emma: If I wanted to speak to someone and I didn't know how I would always loop in something about class.
Emma: I always have, and I still have it now when I meet new people, like a backlog of questions that I can ask.
Bianca: I love that.
