Apple Store, Accused Of Racial Profiling, Apologises For Kicking Out Six Melbourne Students

A Melbourne Apple store has apologised for ejecting six teens after video of their expulsion went viral.
The six Maribyrnong College students – of Sudanese, Somali, Nigerian, Eritrean and Egyptian descent – were asked to leave the Highpoint Shopping Center Apple store by an employee and some security staff. The reason cited? They were worried the teens “might steal something.”
One of the teenagers recorded the final part of the exchange and uploading the footage to Facebook (with the subtitle, "Simply Racism"). As of this writing, it has received more than 57,000 views.

Shortly after the event, one of the students – Mohamed Semra – expressed his anger over the “racial profiling” on social media.

According to Mashable, the boys returned to the store yesterday afternoon with their school principal Nick Scott to request an apology from the store manager.
The manager reportedly apologised “if his statement was taken out of context” and said they were all welcome back to the store anytime.
Mohamad returned to Facebook to say “justice came through” but noted that the group is yet to receive a public apology.
