Adorable 106-Year-Old Meets The Obamas; Doesn't Stop Dancing

Imagine you’re 106 years old and your dream is to meet President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

How would you react?

If you answered, “Well, obviously, by dancing with the First Couple and shimmying as if moved by a rhythm audible only to myself,” you had the same idea as 106-year-old Virginia McLaurin.

In a video posted to The White House’s Facebook page, Ms. McLaurin celebrates her meeting with the Obamas by gyrating in delight, putting even Mrs. Obama’s groove to shame.

Virginia has been seeking a meeting with President Obama since 2014, though her White House petition only managed 19 signatures.

“I know you are a busy man, but I wish I could meet you," she wrote.

"I could come to your house to make things easier. I pray to the Lord that I would be able to meet you one day.”

Despite her petition not getting enough signatures to necessitate a response, her dream was nonetheless made real as America celebrates Black History Month.

Still, as happy as she was to meet the Obamas, she was coy when asked what “the secret to still dancing at 106” might be.

Though, maybe the answer is, more dancing?
