Shocking News: "Harry Potter And The Cursed Child" To Become Biggest Book Since Last "Harry Potter"

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has become leading bookseller Barnes & Noble’s most pre-ordered title in nearly a decade.

In fact, the company’s previous title-holder for 'most pre-ordered book' was a tome called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows , also by J.K. Rowling, which dropped back in 2007.

In their press release, Barnes & Noble expects Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Part I & II to become its highest selling book of the year, because duh. (Deathly Hallows sold 8.3 million copies in the U.S. on its first day.)

What’s unique about Cursed Child’s feat, however, is that it’s not strictly a book; rather, it’s the script for Parts I & II of the smash hit London stage production, which picks up the tale of Harry Potter nineteen years after the events of Deathly Hallows.

When Part I debuted on stage back in June, audience members were asked to #KeepTheSecret of its shocking cliffhanger twist.

Ravenous readers will be able to spoil it for themselves when the script is officially released on midnight of July 30 (July 31, technically).

Expect to find wand-wielding Aussies lined up outside bookstores, if those are even still a thing.
